John! Congrats on 52 weeks in a row! I know I always seem to say that I enjoyed the week's post, but I have to say this was another one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I very much felt like I was a part of your changes, that is how direct your work penetrates. I can't wait to read shorter articles and pieces in the weekly edition, and block away some time for the monthly deep dive. I was also moved by your "building resilience" themes. I have long felt that the choice between smart and hard was false. I believe one can be neither, both, or oscillate.... easy to be hard trope always struck me as something said when avoiding the cost of resilience. You are providing language and ideas to things that I have often felt but could not express. Look forward to next week!

Thanks Brett. I just finished a book called 'Do Hard Things' which I initially hated because the author (Steve Magness) didn't really advocate for doing hard things, but he does make some great points about being smarter about what hard things to do which, while foreign to me, I am beginning to realize may have some merit.

I do feel that I have changed over the past year and you have definitely been a big part of that. The coming year with delve into many of the same topics but with what I believe is a clarity gained by writing last year.
