It is refreshing reading about basic essentials. When reminded of a basic thing that needs attention, other things get tended to as well. Gets the wheels turning. Brilliance in the basics.

Thanks Mike! You're right. So many people spend time worrying about optimizing their daily routine, which is great, but if you take care of the basics, the other things will likely fall into line.

Amen to the Oura ring. It has kept me accountable for sleep and able to spot trends...both positive and negative.

Great Animal House quote. I've also found that the more I prioritize sleep, the better I feel. I suffer from drinking too much water, which causes me to get up in the night. I have to cut myself off by 8 p.m. or else I'll pay for it.

I love it when guys like you talk about the importance of sleep and prioritizing it for better performance. We all grew up under the notion/myth that sleep for the weakest among us and feeling tired was a badge of honor for working or partying too hard. Great content as always!
