This post will be a little different from the normal monthly roll-up.
It’s an invitation to come on a journey with me.
While some of you also subscribe to my other substack, Ruck The F*uck Up, the audiences have been diverging, so I wanted to put this here.
I am less than 2 weeks from my 55th birthday, and although I am fitter than most my age, I’ve realized that I’ve put on weight and have slowly made certain concessions to aging.
That’s not a good example of what Walking Point is supposed to be about.
So, I’m going to war. I’ve given myself 1 year (and 1.5 weeks) to exceed all physical performance standards required of a Marine Raider.
If you’d like to come along on the journey— and if you don’t mind some salty language, join me.
Thanks for reading. Until next time, keep Walking Point.
What are the standards? I'm 47 and can still confidently meet the NTOA SWAT PT standards, but I'm sure Marine Raiders are many levels above that!
